Building forum is also good for a passive income but I think to build a forum requires monitoring or you use a good admin as the forum may be corrupt if you don't have a active admin

I think getting 1000 active members even on the Paid to post sites is not an easy thing for sure. One must work extremely hard to achieve that over years.

I was using the number just as a reference, in a figurative way. It is not impossible to get regular members on your forum if your forum provides value to the users. There are a lot of forums that get a lot of activities even when they are not offering any incentives.

Yes having a forum can be a passive income source. you can step every thing up and allows it to run. Though a forum needs daily monitoring but it can still be sustainable

I get your point but i believe with forums you have to constantly monitor the activities of the members, give updates and in most cases where there are no topics, you would have to be the one to create one.

This is an active income as you have said because there is no way to the owner will make money from it if the person is not working and if people are not watching advertisements all the time

I own a forum where sometimes I earn $2 per click on adsense ads. Imaging getting at least a 5 percent CPC rate on your site, you can do your calculation. If you are using high CPC niche topics, you can earn really well.

Now that we all agree that a forum is a source of regular income, not necessarily a passive one, can we deliberate on the earning potential if the owner resides in tier 3 or tier 4 countries? My comment is informed by the fact that individuals living in tier 3 and 4 countries do not earn as much advert revenue as those living in tier 1 and 2 countries.

I think that you could generate some amount of money if you start a forum. You could get more and more advertisers to sign up with your forum and make money. This is a great way to make money. You could also sell affiliate products as well.

Building a forum is very good because if help bring a lot of income but it require a learning a skill for someone to be a forum builder he or she must know about digital skill
