Can you invest and lock your money for five years before you get it?

We all know that investment is about you putting your money into something for a period of time before you get it back or get your profit.

Some people can wait for so long before they get their profit. As for me, I can only wait for a year before I get my profit. Can you wait for five years?

That was my investment, the Mutual Funds I invested for 5 years with a capital of $ 1000 ad after five ears, I got a small profit of $ 100 only so I withdrew it and transferred it to stocks.

I don’t think I will be able to invest $1000 for five years and I will now make $100 profit. I don’t think that’s really profitable though but it depends on how you are satisfied with it or not

For long term investments or more than 5 years it will really depend on the type of investment instrument you choose, the most suitable for the long term are gold and property, gold investment you can invest like saving with an investment every month in small amounts, but not all types stock will be suitable as a long-term investment, especially tier 3 stock.

I think now that is the long term type of the investments. For me l don't have problems with locking my investment for that period of time.

Yes, I can. I have $30000 deposited in mutual funds and every year I deposit approximately $5000. I will deposit this amount till 10 years and will take out the money then.

Five years is pretty long though, but as long as I have other sources of income, then I guess it shouldn't be an issue.

I don't mind doing it but we need to see a few things like if the investment option is safe and should not invest all our money and need to check the ROI too

For five years I believe that I can just do it but it's required alot of patience but not suitable for family man trying to stand up You may be force to touch it

If the expected yield is very good, I don't mind locking my money for that long. If I have up to 50% returns, I can lock it.

We used to invest in bank fixed deposit schemes like that and I think there used to be plans which were of more than 5 years so its fine and its quite a safe way to invest
