Passive income pays, depending on what you do to gain passive income and how you do it. Real estate for example is a means of earning passive income. But there are lots of persons who rely on just real estate and they are doing pretty well for themselves.

I believe it all depends on the kind of passive income source one is into. Some passive income sources pay higher than others and even main jobs like you said.
