Does tenancy law in your country favour a tenant or landlord?

The tenancy law in my country favour more the tenants.
I have two apartments on rent and we have signed a legal rental agreement with our tenants making all the rules and regulations very clear. So far, we have been lucky to get good tenants and things have been going hassle free.
As far as the law is considered, it's very fair and unbiased.

I think the tenancy law is actually balanced in this part of the world. It actually depends on the approach because sometimes it differs from place to place.
The tenancy laws in my country majorly favours the landlords. They behave as if they own the world and can inconvenience the tenant at anytime. Some tenant have taken landlords to court and won claiming damages.
Power is an important factor in the development of any law. Those wielding power usually influence the process such that they become favored.
So is the case with tenancy laws in my country: the landlord routinely gets the upper hand, at the expense of the tenant.

There are some tenants that are not giving quick notice and are usually forced to pack out from the apartment where they rented then some places in my country.
The other side of the divide is the that some tenants don't even recognize their rights and allow themselves to be exploited by the landlords. Some don't even have tenancy agreements
I think that, in a situation where the real estate property involved is low end, the tenancy applicable law is bound to favor a tenant more than it does a landlord.
In my view, this arrangement is beneficial and prudent as tenants of low end real estate properties are unlikely to have sufficient financial muscle to independently take legal action against a rogue landlord.

A typical law must not be favoritism. It must be seen as impartial to all. Therefore, a tenancy law or edicts must be fair to both parties that is the tenants and the landlords.. Both parties interest must be protected without having to favor one party against the other party.
This is the sad truth, the tenant or landlord even in the case of being faulty will insist and may result even loss against him and not saying you have full right and go to the helpful solutions.
To the best of my knowledge most landlords in Nigeria don't have any regard to this kind of laws and they just treat their tenants the way they feel like.
This is why it is good to settle things amicably between the landlord and the tenant whenever they are having issues. That way things will be fine between them
