Expensive City, good pay or cheap city low pay.

I prefer for the expensive city for the goods sold are authentic. There are also many things to buy good for our eyes. But I do not know if there is a cheap city in my place.

Choosing an expensive city would drain your capital very quickly.

There are definitely cities that are cheaper than others in terms of cost of accommodation, food and general price level of goods and services. All cities cannot be the same.

Currently I can choose low salary cheap city or low salary expensive city. In my work every teacher have same salary no matter where he/she lives. Only difference is in some tax and if you have kids as tax free.

I have not gone yet to cheap cities in my place. The cities are far from each other. It takes to ride a plane to go or big buses. I prefer only my city, Cagayan de Oro city, an expensive city. It's where I live. I and my cousins passed by a cheap city when we went to Butuan City 7 years ago , and we stopped at Gingoog City, a small city, but we bought only fruits, lanzones. The price s chapter compared to the city where I live almost 1/2.

With the cheap local city, one would be able to save. That's why I would prefer it. What's the benefit of living in a place where you cannot grow financially. That's because you won't have any savings on that expensive city.

The place you live determines your lifestyle and status. An expensive city is as result of good economy in the city. Your place of living would determine your take home income. The economic advantages you would gain in expensive city cant be compared with less expensive city with low pay.

I prefer expensive city and good pay. When things are expensive there are a lot of good things that comes with it and most good things don't come cheaply. Once I earn well expensive city is better

Though this highly depends on the person but some people love their comfort and can trade for anything and would want to stay on the expensive city even with low income .

It is better to stay in a place with lowered cost of living. In such a place, you won't have to overburden to yourself with work in order to survive. There is a city in my country that people don't have up to 8 5 hours of night sleep.

I have family members who live in Lagos. They pay well over there compared to what they pay in other parts of Nigeria. They are comfortable but don't have extra money for savings or investment because of the high cost of living.

There would be more factors than just the cost of living and the amount of earning that would come in before we make such decisions. My husband works for IT sector of a MNC finance institution. His work locations are only in two expensive cities and he has a very good job. So, even if we would personally like to stay in less crowded cheap city, we have a lot to compromise for that. And that's not practical.

I heard that most Americans are relocating to third world countries to reside there because of the lowered cost of living. My friend spends a monthly rent in a city that can pay for two years rent in another city. I don't like an expensive City.

It is about getting paid wherher in the big city or not you just need money to take care of your expenses and responsibilities and you can live anywhere possible

I totally agree there..Cost of living is a big factor. People would like to live comfortably within their financial capabilities and still be able to make savings. Your earnings and income play a very important role there. We do see that many cities despite being costly and expensive are over populated. It's because they are business hubs and create more job opportunities.
