Factories and environmental pollution

Its no new news that most of the factories out there are the cost of most of the environmental pollution, what policies do you think should be put in place in other to reduce this pollution?

Ther are laws and policies to that effect but it is the enforcement is the problem. Though in most African countries, those policies are not in place.

This should be part of their corporate social responsibility. They need to manage the level of pollution on the environment. We need to be alive for the next generation.

In China, air pollution is one of the environmental issues. To address this issue, the local government implemented strict rules in Chinese factories.

If there are strict laws and rules being put in place by the government, factories will actually do the right things. Dumping of things within the environment will actually cause a lot of health issues.

In some countries or most countries, companies don't set up shop wherever they like there are conditions put in place by the government, the nature of the business determines where it will be located a company that deals with smoke or toxic chemicals can't be situated in a populated environment.

True but there are cases where the government might actually turn a blind eye towards this, especially if its a corrupt system.

Exactly there should be strict penalties on ground for those defaulters to deter them from causing all the pollution.

it is only in a country where there is lawlessness that the government will turn a blind eye on such development.

Factories in my place are situated in faraway places. They also complied with the regulations of the laws. They have to make sure that no residents will be affected by the emission of their factories, the toxic pollution.

Environmental pollution had been one of the challenges we are having here. Our government are not doing anything to curb it. The lives of people living around factories are in danger.

Till today, the people of Ogoni in south South nigeria are still battling the clean up of their environment from a conglomerate that caused gas flaring in its community.

Probably, I think the issue is not a rocket science to solve. If the government can put the necessary laws in place it will be easier to combat the menace.

That's why no one should site a factory on residential areas. There are places called industrial areas in my place. That's where all the factories stay and compete on polluting themselves .

The factory management must abide the regulations of the environment and natural resources or else they cannot operate their business. Health is welt and it is the people near the factory site to write a complaint letter to the head of the state.

But why would someone even open a factory close to a residential house? It is common sense to know that factories should not be close to residential properties. I would sue such factory to court and get huge compensation pay.
