No payment is required to upgrade, only you should post enough answers to get one million page views. Earlier they were sending invitations for joining the program, now after you receive 1 million page views, you can apply for an upgrade.

I have an account there and I have answered a couple of questions there. I was aware that people earn from site but didn't know how. It's a good site but yes it does not pay well.. Moreover reaching one million views would be tough and does not sound encouraging.

Sometimes reading the content also thrills us. I have seen many times when I search for something on Google, content on Quora comes up and trust Quora and open it for reference.

Yes the site always come up in a lot of my searches and I always love their responses

Actually it is easier to get page views on quora compared to other websites. Though I spend a lot of my time promoting my websites, writing content, I rarely get more that 300 page views for my main websites. In contrast for answering few questions daily for about 10 days , I got 1976 page views on one day.

I have more than one million page views on all the posts which I made on quora since 2016 when I joined it.

I was not spending much time answering on quora for the last 4-5 years, since I was getting paid writing work which was paying far more. Also quora was not paying users for their answers till 2021
