Actually there are so many employment opportunities in sales works but most do not like to work as salesperson because it's really hard work. Local government is a good avenue because qualifications is only secondary as long as you are a politician's supporter but if the politician lost in election your career ends.
Getting employed in offline businesses is becoming harder everyday because the rate of unemployment is increasing.
Because of the high level of competition, finding work these days is difficult. The majority of businesses/companies recruit persons who have graduated from college and have the necessary skills and expertise. I'd like to get a new online job, but it's hard to find one these days, so I'm not giving up.
This is the reason why a lot of people are becoming self-employed today because they know that the government is not ready to make provisions to have more job opportunities for them.
Seeking for employment nowadays is like looking for needle inside ocean. Employment in Nigeria is by opportunity and not by merit. You must be highly connected before you can get employed. Forget about your qualifications. You must be recommended by someone in high positions either in government, politics, or societies before you would be considered for employment.
Forget about your professional, there is no guarantee that you would be employed. Employment is by connection. You have got to know who is who in the society before you would be recommended.
People are not coming out of school half baked. It is just unfortunate the rate of unemployment is increasing as a result of poor economic growth. Until government and economic stakeholders brace up and found lasting solutions to this menace, the situation would persist.

Before you think of getting a job, you should try and acquire the skills necessary to land that job. Take it from me, communication skills are very important if you want to land your any job. Go improve the language ability first before coming back to look for a job.
Meanwhile, in my opinion, finding work offline at this time is something that is difficult, because apart from having the necessary skills, you also have to have connections with people within the company, who will recommend you to enter the company.
Even though the IT or Tech sector is suffering a lot of retrenchment of workers today it is still one of the best place someone can have a skill in because an employment in that sector pays very well.
In my location, the situation is a bit different. Many businesses are complaining that they cannot find workers to fill up job vacancies. They include medical practitioners, elderly care workers, IT professionals and servers at restaurants.
Getting employed in my country is almost very impossible in my country. This is evident by the large influx of the graduates and colleges every year. The government has no where to absorb all the graduates and not forgetting that in the last year there was probably the same number of graduates who are unemployed already.
That mostly happens in family businesses. but in some international corporations you need to be very much qualified and professional in what you do. People who are much skilled have more opportunities.
