At Trendri I did not register as a moderator but was appointed by the Admin, maybe because previously I had experience as a moderator at Bitcoindiscussionforum, and at moneygurus.net and the merger forum with Bizdustry, I and Anis were also offered as Moderators by Bizdustry. But I refused by not answering the interview invitation on Zoom because I was too busy at that time.

Having been an influential member of trendri myself, I have to say that I perfectly loved your moderation style. You had a good balance of being firm and considerate. I would have loved to see you moderating bizdustry though but it is okay if you have time constraints. I know our beloved trendri would come back again.

Well that is what I got to learn as I was trying to apply and search for a moderator job across different platforms which I believe would be a great job for me but learnt that the pay is not as big as I thought.

That would not make you a moderator by any standard. You need to have the skills of webmastering to be made a moderator. And there are tests that are made to screen people for the post.

well of course if it's high standart webiste you need a lot of skills but there are sites where they don't pay for moderators this way you can get experience if you want to be paid moderator

Are you sure you want that job? Being moderator is much harder than you think. You can not just ban people as you like and there is many posts on edge of breaking community rules.

There is nothing that is easy. Once is work, it must have some element of labour and stress.

I guess you apply for it or what I don't know. The moderators I know either personally know each other with the admin or were chosen due to their activity. Admin should answer this question on how they choose a moderator.

The trend is that in the paid forum world, moderators are recycled across forums. Most of the moderators here are moderators on other forums. I think the job needs prior experience.

they need managing skills and more maybe they are good friends with admin and that's because they get the role these days it's way easier to find a job if you know the guy

I belive you need a lot of skills and I'm not sure it is worth it on some sites the pay is small and it takes time but it's also possible it just takes time to learn skills

Every website has its own requirement and we need to comply with its rules and we need to see if we like to earn for it or like to work voluntarily
