Yes being a moderator sounds nice but it's not easy job you need to have a lot of skills and also time the pay is usually nothing special and some sites don't even pay moderatorsOf course yes, a moderator is someone who has a vast knowledge of webmastering skills, websites and one that is active on the sites. Moderation job is not that easy to do and the payment is usually low.
I would surmise that.most moderators work pro bono and they are also site contributors and probably getting paid like most members are. It is an extra work for them to keep the site going smoothly. They the so-called regulator as Understand.I guess a key requirement for being a moderator of any forum is the zeal to serve others. This idea is informed by the notion that, compared tp regular users, moderators do not necessarily earn a lot of money. I bet the remuneration offered does not compare to the trouble that forum moderators contend with on a daily basis.
I know you are talking from the standpoint of experience having been a moderator at Trendri and an excellent one at that. But I don't envy your jobs at all. Having to check every post for plagiarism and AI content was really a tasking job. I hope you would still moderate trendri whenever it resumes.Each forum site will have a different method of recruiting moderators, if at RIF there is an offer to register as a moderator for those who are interested. Moderators who are paid will not have much time to write, because the assignment is always in line every day hundreds of posts created by new members must be checked before being published. Examples of paid moderators are Bizdustry and Trendri.
At Trendri I did not register as a moderator but was appointed by the Admin, maybe because previously I had experience as a moderator at Bitcoindiscussionforum, and at moneygurus.net and the merger forum with Bizdustry, I and Anis were also offered as Moderators by Bizdustry.
