start by Asking why. Find out if he is just having a bad day, and let it go


Always remain positive is not advisable to be rude to your boss. still shows some respecct.

That's a sorry state of affairs. I am sorry to know that one one raises a voice. This must be emboldening him. A professional behaviour never allows anyone to be disrespectful to other co workers at the workplace, no matter what power and position you have.
Whether you are the boss or you are working under someone, everyone are a co workers and respect has to be there for each other.

Some top management favour valuable staff. Imagine a guy that runs the whole IT system of a firm. They would always favour him ahead of a disrespectful manager..

You didn't get me. I was trying to address your point of top management favouring managers over junior staff. What I said that some valuable junior staff are even favoured more than managers.

Yes some junior staff is favoured too and in most of the cases if he is close to the boss he will always be favored over the people who work well in the organization, that's how is the corporate world.

It is not just about being close to the boss. It is about being valuable in your work. If they can't replace you, they won't joke with you and they would even value you above the manager.

The way to deal with an impolite boss in my opinion is to keep your distance, not to bother with all his attitudes. As long as I can survive I will stay working there, if not I will leave and find another job.

It is actually possible. You just make your relationship with him strictly professional. He asks you for a file, you give him without saying any additional thing.

My boss doesn't ask for my personal life but he asks about things related to work which is not achievable. Our targets are like they can never be achieved and for that we scolded.
