Is It impossible for young people to find a good job today without help from someone? Or do you think that if you know what you want and are looking for in a job, that it can actually be easy to find without help?

In my country, you can't get a good job paying mid level salary on your own. All those kind of jobs require referrala and connection. We are not even going to talk about the high paying jobs.
In my location, you do not need special connections to find a job. But you need to be persistent and always upgrade your skills and knowledge which meet with market demands.
In Nigeria, it is almost impossible to get job without connection. No matter how brilliant and smart you are, you need a connection to get a good paying job. Private companies can be easier to get job by merit but not government jobs.
It is very hard to get a good place to work without help in Nigeria. Here in Nigeria, you need connection to do almost everything no matter how good you are
Over here in my country, it is always very difficult for you to find a very good paying job without a very good connection. This is because most good jobs are reserved for people that have influential people.
Well, I just hope things like this will stop and people will be able to get good job based on their knowledge or skill even without knowing anyone in top places
It is possible to find a job without help because there are so many people that were able to gain jobs without knowing anyone.
In my country, I have never heard that CBN is recruiting. @Heatman, @cherry123, have you heard? Those kind of jobs don't just happen. No matter how qualified you are, you won't hear when they are recruiting uncle's someone gives you the hint.
That's right I'm also yet to know or hear about it. maybe it is always internal recruiting you know even those working there will always want to fix their people so it becomes difficult to penetrate from outside.
Nowadays, it has even spread to the small 25k teaching jobs. Someone in the school would just connect you that there is vacancy in their school. Getting jobs without connection in Nigeria is practically impossible.
It is sad to say that some hired employees are products of nepotism. That is why I resigned from my previous job in one of the local government agencies in my city. The root cause is I cannot deal or work with an incompetent project manager.
Nepotism has become the order of the day that some organizations don't even recruit any longer. They just silently replace. Even government jobs have become like that.
It is very impossible to find a job with a help as well if you do not have the necessary qualifications.
