Is creating a cooperative a good business?

I am also a member of the cooperatives in our university and outside like FICCO. Members are so happy every time there is an assembly done yearly for the distributions of the stocks and dividends. I always add mine to the capital.

Are you a member of Ficco? we will have our general assembly for our branch on March while our employees coop have yet to be set. but it will not be later than March 30.

Doing this kind of business is good but theres a lof of cooperative are doing a bad things and their members losing their money, i read a lot of case in this country. So, choosing the right cooperative is really important this day @Starmix

Choosing right cooperative is one of the most essential requirement here because if we do not do it we may loose a lot.

I think it also has some risks in the sense that the person must have saved the money in the cooperative society

Being a member of a cooperative does not have risks, the risks fall into the hands of the coop organizers. But they are so careful not to get swindled by rude members or else all will be affected.

It is a good business of you have like-minded People who won't stress you to manage. What makes a co-operative easily profitable is when you have members that stick to the rules of the cooperative.

i don't think people earn through cooperative here in my locality what I see is people coming together to form a group of like minded people to share common interest

Yes, I am a member and also a member of Oro Cooperative. Please remind me next month about the schedule of the seminar. I am hoping it will be a Saturday because I am not available to attend a seminar from Monday to Friday due to my work.

Usually the cooperatives are accepting only members of their cooperatives and if they failed to pay it's their annual dividends that will be on hold and be released only upon payment of their liabilities.

I will always advise people to be very careful with the kind of cooperative they are joining because some of them have proven to be set up to scam people.

What branch are you a member. Jasaan branch will have it on March 5 a Sunday. Usually Ficco holds it either on a Saturday or Sunday.
