sometimes I feel that those who have been into the business for a while knows the nooks and crannies of the business. They also knows more about the business and they can manage it better than outsiders.

Yes this kind of task should be left for those that have been into the business for a while and know a lot about the business. This way they can manage it better

I think it's not fair to take a person from the outside to take the position of the manager for the company yet there are people who have been stagnanted in their working positions for over years.

As a business person, you have to learn to take tough decisions and if the current situation demands for this kind of decision, so be it. Whoever is not comfortable should leave the organization.

There are no sentiments in business and the manager can be from anywhere. I understand the place of organizational politics but it is inconsequential to the growth of a business.

Appointing manager from outside apart from the organization staff depends upon certain condition which must be weighed critically. Appointing manager who is highly experienced from outside is good because the business is going to enjoy changes as a result of new ideas and principles.
Similarly, when manager is chosen from the staff, the management doesn't need to explain mode of operandi to him because he is already part of the organization.

I think it would be a good decision for company's management to appoint one of the existing employees to the post of the manager than outsourcing that from the outside market.

This is a factor and a serious point. Talk about having the DNA if the organisation, it would be someone that has served in the organization for a long time. He knows the culture.

It's a very good for the management to appoint a person that has been working in the company for long as the manager than appointing a new person altogether. This is for the betterment of the business.

Yes it is very good to appoint new business manager from the old staff in an organization. This new manager having been in the system before needs no introduction to the modus operandi of the business. The staff knew him before and would therefore enjoy mutual cooperation from them. The only thing the company would lack as a result of this is new changes that could have be introduced by the manager if he were from outside.

Sometimes businesses may appoint people based on their level of experience. May be the person may have been a manager in other successful businesses.

I don't think this should depend on what is fair but what works for the business . Managers should be brought in based on their level of capabilities and experience.

Sure that's my point exactly the business should be taken as the top priority and not the person to be used because what is good for the business is the leader

I think even looking at it from a clearly business perspective, a new manager should be elevated and not appointed.. It helps the staff to easily cooperate with the new management and work with him seamlessly.

Probably, it is about someone that have the needed capacity to become successful as a manager. Some people might have worked in some organisations severally for some years and they can do the job perfectly.

It depends though, i believe there should be a reason as to why the manager or business owner would assign someone outside the workers. It could be that they are not doing pretty well.

It pays better to bring someone from within. I believe organizations should always strive to train people for leadership ahead of time within the organization. That is why structural organization is necessary in any business unit.
