Many efforts are made by business people to get maximum profit, one of which is by reducing the cost of wages or employee salaries, they generally only provide a minimum wage in accordance with regional regulations, this will make workers lazy to do their jobs, and results in lower productivity, what do you think.

Not really. But there could be a relationship between wages and productivity.

A person who's already productive will much more productive if properly numerated, but there is very little one can do motivate an innate lazy worker.

To some extent yes, though there would still be some workers who would want to put in their best. But definitely low wages would definitely hinder productivity. No worker would to work more than what they are being paid for.

In my country, reverse is the case. Low wages means the highest productivity. It gets worse in a capitalist system where a boss is constantly exploiting the staff.

Although many factors can affect productivity, wages are the dominant factor, which can provide motivation to work seriously and refuse job offers from other companies.

Which country are you from? Of course I know that you're a Nigerian.

I'm just surprised to read your assertion. If I'm paid well, the level of my productivity will automatically increase.

Yes, I am from Nigeria. My assertion is on the side of the employer. The employer offers low wages to the most productive staff. Welcome to the irony of being a Nigerian.

I understand you. I will advise such worker to look out for other jobs, as soon as possible.

That's exploitation of highest order. Niyi, you know, this is quite ironic, as you said

It is not actually true but people tend to get tired if they are not paid well at the end of the day and they wouldn't give in their best so such work.

It is always better to pay the workers well so that it will encourage them and it will optimise their performance because low payment could be an avenue for less productivity.

In my opinion, paying only the minimum wage does have a negative impact on the worker's productivity. Other than monetary reward, workers have a sense of achievement if they are getting a good wage.

It is normal to have low wages for workers if the company newly operates. The workers need to work hard to yield good results and in so doing, their wages will be incremented.

Low wages demotivatea your employees and reduces the commitment level they have when working for you. Check it out. Any organization that the wages are low, you would see pilfering and other malicious activities among staff.

There is a correlation between wages and productivity. A well paid worker will like to deliver so that he will retain his position. A poorly paid worker will work with nonchalant attitude because his is poorly paid. He can afford to lose the job and get an equal alternative.

Low wages doesn't mean there's decrease in productivity, I means yes to some extent the decrease in production means there's also a decrease in profit and at such there's low wages on salaries.

I too think so. The amount of salary and wages to the workers solely depends on the quantity and quality of the production. Basically the lower
the quantity and quality of the production the lower the wages.

in some case, maybe its true but for another case for business owner, theres always a reason why they only pay minimum wages, because there are a lot of people who still need that job even they get minimum wages, sad but true
