Is meat shop profitable here?

In India majority of people are non-vegetarian and many of them even don't eat eggs but there are still lots of meat shops existing in the country. Do they make enough profit? How do they manage to do it?

The same thing happen here where I live. Meat vendors do make profits. There profits would depend on how (the quantity) being sold.
