Should companies spy on their employees on social media?
You probably should know who you are employing of cause you wouldn't want someone who will tarnish the image of your brand or cause you to face possible law suits cause of their social media life
Spy? I won't say that is necessary. But they have the right to tell an employee to take down a social media post that, maybe, the manager of the company runs into and it is not reflective of the values of the organisation.
Actually it is not important and necessary for companies to spy on the activities of their employees. Every staff has their private lives and should be allowed...
I really do not think it's necessary to spy on one's employees on social media because it's their private life. Although, one can go through their social media page from time to time to see if they posted anything that will spoil the image of the business.
