Should employees be allowed with their phones during work hours?

I think no companies here do not allow employees to use their phones. They need to talk to the clients or have emergency calls personally.

I don't see any reason for an employer to stop his or her employees from being with their phones during work hours especially when it is not a source of distraction.

Though depending on the type and nature of the job. There are jobs that requires that you use your mobile phone to attend to customers by taking orders and other important things..

It depends o the nature of work, maybe only the security guards. In the bank as teller, no even in the academe.

It is very difficult for companies to monitor their employees and ensure that they do not touch their phones during office hours.

If the mobile phone would cause distraction and make them loose concentration, then they should be restricted from using the mobile phone or any other devices..

I think it depends on the type of work you do. People can mute their phones and just limit their phone usage.

if they would be restricted on their system on where to browse then good of not it should not be allowed
