Should employees listen to music while working?

Yea i have come across persons like this as well. For me it depends on the kind of music at the moment. There are certain music, when it hear it, it feels more like noise and i find it extremely hard to stay focused.

I understand. There are also some people that can hardly concentrate if they are not listening to music while working.

It all depends on my mood. When I am happy or energized, I listen to music. Many businesses avoid it because it can be distracting.

I can't concentrate if there's music especially if it plays the theme song of my past and broken love. I could recall broken promises so my work will be affected unless played is a hard rock or metal.

I think i depends on the working area rules and ethics and also depends on the person who wants to listing and work, if the work place allows workers to listing music's then it is good to listen and work.

For me l think they shouldn't be allowed to listen to music while working.
This is because it distracts the concentration of the workers hence low production output for the business.

Only and only if they have headphones and not distract others. Also when somebody yell and you must respond, you can't listen music at work. If you have your corner and don't bother anybody there, why not?

I think we can listen to music by using our headsets. I cannot see any wrong if we do this in outdoors or even indoors.

Listening to music is fine, as long as no one is being disturbed. At workplace, I had encountered that some companies allow to play music during the working hours.
