Supposing I own a school now. It is completely funded by me. Is it wrong for me to manage the school by myself without the need of a principal? Who should have the decision making power in a school? The proprietor or the principal?

Being an owner needs to employ a principal and teachers to work with him or her. If his or her profession is related to education major, the he or she can also be the head master of the school.

Managing a school is a very good business provided that you already have an educational certificate from the tertiary institution

If you have enough time on your disposal, you can manage the school alone as a director. But if you have other things to do, you can hire a good principal who can manage the school well enough. They have to show great competence to be hired.

I understand the desire to oversee everything in your school since you're the one funding it. But having a principal to share the responsibilities with might provide a fresh perspective, bring in new ideas, and help lighten your workload. Its worth considering the option.

If you have other things doing and would not always be available in the school, then you would be surely needing the service of a principal that will effectively manage it for you, because some of them study education related courses.
