Subject teachers that are scarce in the educational sector.

Today we have a lot of English teachers out there, but it seems they are truly not doing their jobs. I have come across students who cannot even write a whole sentence, not to mention speaking it.

Yes low pay especially in Nigeria is the reason why a lot of people are not getting onto the educational sector. How can someone survive on a salary of about $50 to $70! monthly

Technical drawing is not so hard to find. Much harder are French since rare people talk French. French is very hard to learn so those who know it goes work in private sector for bigger salary.

In my location, language teachers are relatively difficult to find. If someone can speak a particular language such as Japanese, French, or German, s(he) can find a job in a private enterprise or be a translator or interpreter which offers better pay.

Low pay is always the issue here. My country don't pay teachers well especially Science teachers. One can study this highly demanding courses and go for lowly paid jobs. it isn't possible

If you see the stress that undergraduates go through to get the degree, you would think they are going to be earning so high. But most of them end up teaching with incredibly low pay.

I recently saw a notice that countries like United kingdom are looking for teachers in physics, chemistry and others. I think teachers in those subjects are getting scarce everyday.

A lot of people are even running from taking on such courses in school as a result of how difficult they are. It's why they lack teachers in it.

When I was teaching in high schools, there was always a frequent need for Mathematics teachers because of you have one, you hardly can keep them for 6 months before they would dump your school.

You can't even easily get a mathematics graduate to teach mathematics. It is mostly engineering graduates that put in a shift at teaching maths.
