A watch only address is when we only entered the address on trustwallet or other offline wallet but not the private key or passphrase which gives us access to the coin. It is just like me giving you my bank number and using an app to see my balance and transaction and because you don't have my pin you won't be able to withdraw.
So there are some that will just give you the address to see the balance and because like someone like you that don't really know what it is, might just agree with the scammer that there is a way to withdraw the coin. So fall to there hand and pay them to get a fake tip to withdraw the coin.
