Why employees should be allowed to make workplace decisions.

In any business venture where employees do not contribute then there will actually be some kind of decline in productivity. Making them to contribute will probably give more insights on how to run the business effectively.
Indeed. It is not a good thing if the employees were not allowed to contribute in finding the right solutions in a company. They should be allowed to share their expert thoughts to come up with the final decisions.

Some companies don't believe their staff are brilliant enough to have a say in what happens in the organization. Some managers are so opinionated that only what they say and decdid would stand.
It is because they are working as a team. A company will not work if they are inhibiting the decisions not done by them. They were hired because they are qualified to have decisions as a team in a company.

That is too bad. If it that is what they perceived them, it is best to terminate them. I am sure if the staff were treated this way, they would quit their jobs and find the companies suitable for them.

Because employees are still humans, not robots, so they still have feelings and desires. As long as it doesn't harm the company, let them make their own decisions.

I can feel you with this sentiment. One of my previous jobs made me unhappy because of this reason. Aside from dealing with an incompetent project manager, I decided to resign because I cannot learn something from him.

Indeed. Recently, I also resigned to my former company online. The staff were like puppets of the business owners. They cannot decide for themselves because they were being controlled.

The employees are the ones that see how the things are in the field. The bosses are probably in the offices running analysis. When it comes to field decisions, employees inputs should be considered very important.

In every business and organization there are procedures and ethics, no staff should be allowed to take personal decisions outside the rules and regulations that are against the interest of the company and organization..

Though there needs to be some sort of limit to the amount of contribution they can make, but I believe it's better to allow them be able to contribute or make certain decisions.

Workers are not allowed to take their own decisions in majority of the places. They have to obey the commands and orders of their seniors. If a company is facing any kind of problem, then the senior management of the company is responsible for finding the right kind of solution to the problems faced by the company.

There are some employees that have proven overtime to be very sound with decision making. Those kinds of employees should not be alienated from decision making.
