As a customer, I always look for warranty and return policy. Especially if I am buying something costly or one like electronic appliances and gadgets that might run into some issues later. These policies give a assurance to the buyers. And it also helps the seller establish a trust with the consumers. And that's very important for a good reputation in the market and benefits the business in the long run.

Not all products need a return policy and warranty. I sell digital products and the product is made available on the basis of as it is. If you are providing return and warranty, you are also likey to encounter chargebacks.

That depends on the products you sell. Household appliances with warranty and return policy definitely help to gain confidence and trust from customers buying the products. For my translation work, I offer free trial service. I translate 150-200 words free of charge for a new potential client. If s(he) is satisfied with my translation, s(he) gives me the job.

Having a good return policy would create trust between you and your potential customers. Trust me no one would be willing to buy a product they have not seen when they know they won't be able to return it, or it would take days if not weeks to return.

When I purchase something I do not forget to ask for a warrant or item to return for a replacement. But there are malls that clearly specify No Return, No Exchange.

If I sell you a digital product on how to make money online for example, I can assure you that if you consistently follow my blueprint for three months without getting results, I will return your money with apologies. I know a guy who does this.

If my principles are practicable, I see no reason why a person wouldn't see result.

Warranty and refund policy is to guarantee the quality of such product. Buying products without warranty in the markets is risky. Some of those products do not meet their specifications and as a result of this, it is the buyers that borne the risks.
