I strongly agree: how to decide the country and the family where you are born? Obviously impossible. And no schooling often leads to questionable decisions, able to increase poverty level.
Yes for example the most popular football player in the world Cristiano Ronaldo was also very poor he often begged for food but look at him now
Unfortunately, cases like Cristiano Ronaldo aren't ordinary happenings but the exception. Unfortunately, not everyone was born so talented to become a football player (or other sports player) or even so lucky to be noticed (we must think on children that were born in a remote African village in the bush, where the least infrastructure lacks).

In my opinion, being poor is fate, because based on my religious belief, sustenance is part of destiny. If we don't have any luck, no matter how hard we try, we still won't get it and vice versa.
I get your point though, though my religion said God made the rich and the poor, he created them all, but He also said He would teach us how to make wealth, meaning because you where born poor, you have to stay that way. You can actually make a change.

That's right I agree with you. We must not give up on destiny, we must try to find sustenance to make ends meet, and if possible to escape from poverty. However, people will not always be poor and vice versa, people will not always be rich. Because life is spinning.

Exactly, that is why they say no condition is permanent. Do not assume cause you are in a position of power you can do anything you like. No one knows tomorrow. You might not need help now, but tomorrow might be a different story.

That's right I agree with you. Therefore we should not be arrogant and look down on others who are much poorer than us. Because maybe one day he will be rich and we need help from him.

Poverty can be by choice or by fate. Some people out of believe system have decided to be poor. For instance, monks have decided to be poor for the seek of God and humanity.

I mean sometimes you can't do anything about it peaple who are really poor are not lazy they want food and water but they don't have ways to make money
Yes you are right, many poor people are not because they are lazy. But because he doesn't have the capital to do anything that makes money. Because it is not easy to find a job if you do not have the skills to support it.

That's the point: to reach skills, you often need to purchase expensive courses and stop to work to be dedicated to the new subjects to learn the skills required by the labor market. If we are born in a poor or very poor family, I repeat, it wasn't our choice. And we simply can't stop to work to spend many hours per day learning a super skill, less we can purchase a course. How could our families live, if we stop to work, lacking our salary if our families are poor or very poor?

There are also country that appear rich in the geographic maps, but facts tell they are poor. It happens to various south European countries, where governments can't declare the default or general conditions would worsen (increasing actually poverty). Among such countries, it's very difficult to poverty being a choice.

Those poor are just unlucky. It is not their gaut to be poor. We do not know their struggles. We better listen to their side before we judge them as lazy.

Right! There is no way to judge a third aged that only receives a miserable governmental pension of 300 euros per month, when the minimum price to rent a box of sardines apartment where there is only a kitchen with sofa-bed and a bathroom costs 450 euros per month (out of the bills and taxes, obviously). That's what happens in south Europe.

What a crucial situation income surpassed the expenses. What must the concerned persons do to solve his financial problem? Thankful there is a government pension, in my country, there is no pension given to old folks, they could only have a pension when during their working days up to age 60, they contributed part of their salary for the retirement purpose.

In such case, these third aged need to ask for help at NGOs (for ex., the ICRC distributing food and clothing) and to governmental programs to provide the additional cost of renting they can't afford. But I don't know how much easy or difficult is to access to such a governmental benefits. In any way, the new government has the idea to increase the minimum pension of 300 to 600 euros (that's the new I just saw). I really hope it will last enough time to perform all the good they want to promote.

When you are poor, successful people say it was your choice. However, many of you may have tried hard but did not get the results you wanted. I think it is a little cruel to tell someone it was your choice. What do you think now? In your opinion, if someone is poor, is it fate or the person's choices?
I think its a combination of both life is a mix of opportunities, circumstances and choices. Some may have fewer opportunities from the start due to their experience but how they respond to those challenges is still a choice. Its a tough issue that cant be boiled down to a single factor.

I still believe it's mostly fate. What if we work hard to improve our condition, but a family member of us falls seriously ill and needs very expensive treatment? What if to get rich or wealthy we should let die our beloved one? Not that big deal...
