This is another major reason renting a friend is not a good advice. You can actually rent a bad person.

I think that will not happen. The platform allow people to apply first before they can be considered to work and be hired by a member of the site. So I think, it is important for the applicants to be truthful in applying and joining the for hire.
My concern is not only the applicant to be hired but the client who will rent the friend.

You don't have to worry about the client because he is also a member of the site. From my understanding, there are two memberships on the site, 1.) Member of the site and 2.) Hired applicant. If they do bad things, they are accountable to the owner. I think there is screening process.
That's good if they make a thorough background check of both the members and the applicants. Looks like the site work like an agency where they provide manpower to client.

Yes it works like a manpower agency. The member will pay monthly membership fee while the hired friend will get payment from the number of minutes it took him/her to spend with the member.
It's really like getting an escort. Escort business was popular in the nineties, where agents look for applicants posting it in buy and sell and match them with high profiled clients posing as escort but who knows what the negotiations will be after.

It is not a dating site and not an escort service. Based on the review I have read, a member can hire a friend for activity they like to do but they won't do it alone. Like watching movie. Personal contact is not allowed.

Probably, I think it is a website where you can rent escorts for some particular period of time and not friends actually. It should not be regarded as friends.
