Giving your property to orphans even when you have children

Would you out of charity give your property to ophahs even when your children are not doing too well. Do you find this very normal?

Even if my children are not doing well, I would still leave something for them no matter what.

These days many children leave the shores seeking greener pastures and do well and at the same time there is no hope of them getting back and in such situations I suppose it is fine to give the property to orphans

I cannot hand over my ancestral property to someone else. It looks good to say that I will donate it but it is difficult to do it.

I can donate money but not a property. I can give the orphans capital and a place to rent for a small business to start.

Same with me, I will donate money but not the property. One of my neighbor donated his property in charity because he had no kids
