I agree with you, most people do not have enough capital to go to the cinemas to watch movies. Imagine watching a single movie for more than 3k naira in some places.

Personally speaking, it is not that feasible anymore. Most people can watch movies at their homes, through the use of the Internet, apps, and the like.

I have doubts if running a local cinema is a lucrative business. Starting a cinema requires a lot of funding to buy the equipment, rent a place, pay for the royalty of the movie etc. Moreover, a lot of people are watching movies at home through internet or apps.

It can be. If you make it affordable too. It can be very lucrative I have seen in certain areas, they use projevtors and it's an open view cinema.

Acquire a venue, purchase equipment (projectors, sound systems), obtain film rights, hire staff, market to local community, regularly show films to attract and retain customers.

The business is dead already because almost all family have cable television even in the villages. The popularity of cable TV in Nigeria, have killed cinema longtime ago.

If I have resources and I live in the rural area I will not invest in that venture. I don't think it's still a lucrative business.

That is true, but the oldies do not like videos, they like the big screen. The kids also like to watch a movie on big screens. They feel contented and happy.

There are people who can pay such amount of money to watch movies. You just have to locate it in a city centre.

local cinema? first thing first, you have to make sure that "you have unlimited capital", as far as i know, building a cinema with 3 studios its take a lot of capital, like really, and if you have that capital you have partnetship with movies distribution and in my country this is owned by the cinema chains owner, so its better to make partnership with cinema chains than doing it by ourself

Starting a cinema actually cost a lot of money but if money is not the problem then another thing is a very good location. Since it is local you need to make the price a little bit cheaper.
