That's one thing most of us do. When we seek for a new employment, we do talk about our salary expectations with the new prospective employee. One has to disclose the current or previous compensation to them. But all these are confidential ones. Talking about it to others at work, friends and family is a choice and no one can be forced about it.I talk about my salary always with my would-be employers.. When once you know your worth and you are offering enough value then you should ask for the right compensation as salary
Yes that's true, like where i used to work, i did not discuss anything about salary. Till i stopped working there, no one knew how much i was being paid.I do not think that it is proper to discuss about your salaries with your co-workers, it is often better to keep it to yourself.
No, I do not think it is appropriate to share salary information with co-workers. This is supposed to be confidential information in the workplace. Only the manager and HR department have such information.
and I would hope the other person would share the information if I was willing to share mine with them
I suppose it is like talking about the weather and then we can have a good moan about itI keep asking myself the reason why workers will wake up and start discussing their salary with one another and to what end is that talk I'm going to be?
