What are the minimum wages in your country?

So what's the standard of living here. Are you people still doing well with this minimum pay?

Here in our country, there are still workers who receives almost $6 a day,that's roughly $140 in a month, especially in some areas in the provinces here.

I wonder why everyone is complaining about its government handling on minimum salary issue. Imagine average workers in Nigeria are earning daily income of less than $1 which is very bad in this hard economy.

And they are not even helping matters because things are getting more expensive everyday and they do not even want to increase the minimum wage which is not nice but they still arrest youths for trying to make money on cryptocurrency

This is true. There must be more opportunities for not educated people.

The minimum wages are defined in the act to stop employers from exploiting the employees and in India at present it's only $120 for a month which is too low but yes Government is planning to increase it.

What about in your country?

The minimum wage here is HKD37.50 per hour, which is roughly USD4.5 per hour which I think if too low.

Like india here in Pakistan also average per month wage is 120$- 150$.
Just think how people mange to meet their basic necessities, its too low and it must be increase.

As outsiders it's easy for us to condemn the employers and call them dishonest, but they work on supply and demand to set prices to gain more profits and I don't think that is dishonest at all. Where the dishonesty lies is workers who failed to learn skills to qualify them to receive higher pay, while earning more profits for their employers to make it a win-win relationship. There is a natural balance involved that can be easily upset by unreasonable demands from both sides.

Well I guess you need to have a reality check, You have worked all your life in the US and are not aware of how things work in other countries and if your Government has set a minimum wage of for example $100 per month then how about you getting $70 or $80, what will you call it, dishonest employers or you feel your work isn't worth $100? That is wonderful. $6 in a day, when average workers here are earning less than $1 daily. The minimum wages as announced by the Federal Government are being disputed by the State Government.
