Who wants to be still employed after 60?

Just celebrated my 61st bday in December and I am thankful that I am gainfully employed at this age. I hope to retire at the mandatory age of 65. Some of my colleagues had already retired at 60 but some have gone back working again as teachers and consultants. Do you still want to be employed after 60? why and why not

I dont think is right for someone to quit working because been active helps our health and longevity. As you age, it is better to choose work that you are passionate about. Not necessarily for money or benefits but to keep the soul and body together. I will still not forget to congratulate you on reaching 60 years, is not easy. Congratulations!⚘

Thank you, that's true and thankful to God for all the blessings. I have a good job and what I wish is to be in the best of health so that I can be more productive at work and be of service to the community.

Age 60 is still capable to work. When 1 reached 60 I won't retire from work. I might not get accustomed to being jobless.

In start I too, must congratulate you for working nicely till this age because there are marked difference remain a young age worker as compare to old age person. In my view a person should continue his working after 60, in order to remain fit.

It would really depend on my life situation at the time. Barring health issues, I would basically say yes to working after 60 and quite likely after retirement as I don't want to sit around all day. Granted, my preferred outcome would be retiring to a slow routine of working on my own business, but I would still consider that work.

It depends on my health situation. Many people are not physically active when they pass the age of 60 years and that's the reason the government has decided that people over the age of 60 years should get retired. As I am diabetic at the age of 46 years so I dont think I will be physically fit to work when crossing the age of 60 years but I would like to work at this age too because I dont want to be financially dependent on others after retirement.

Really if by that age I feel healthy and with spirits, why not? I think it's a good way to stay active and busy even if you don't work as much as when you were younger, that's fine.

If a person can take care of himself/ herself on all aspects. They would leave longer. And they can work into their late 60s

Happy belated birthday, for me though before that age i hope to have a personal business of my own then by that age, various investments i can use in generating passive income.

I don't want to be 60 and working. I want to work very hard to make enough to sustain me through my 60's till God decides it's time for me to return home. But even if it's Soo, I never forget to have fun while I still can.

Sorry to hear about being a diabetic person, so always monitor your blood sugar. When you retire, you can work online, and at least you are doing it now while you are still in your 40s.

I do not think it is right for someone who has attain such age to look for employment because it is a stage where you would need to relax and rest.

Happy belated birthday. It depends on the kind of work I am doing at that time. But no matter the work I will like to retire at 60 so I can have enough rest
